AdventHome: if you scan a receipt, the image is sent to a Google Gemini model to extract the amount, merchant and date.
AdventEvents (event Finance module): if the organizer photographs an expense receipt, the image is sent to an OpenAI model (gpt-4o-mini with vision) to extract the same data.
In both cases, the only purpose is to auto-fill a form you would otherwise fill in by hand.
We do not use your receipts, photos, messages or any other personal data to train our own or third-party models. We do not use AI to make automated decisions that legally affect you (for example, no automatic approval or denial of requests by AI). We do not show AI-generated advertising or profile your behavior with these models.
AI models can make mistakes: a misread amount, date or merchant name. You can always review and correct the result before saving it, and you can always enter the data manually instead of scanning. No AI-generated output in our apps replaces professional accounting, legal or medical advice.
Receipt scanning is optional. If you'd rather not use it, you can record expenses and income manually in AdventHome and in AdventEvents' Finance module at any time.
Google (Gemini) and OpenAI process these images as our subprocessors, under their own data-protection terms for business/API customers. See the full provider list on the Subprocessors page.
When we add a new AI use that processes personal data, we will update this page before turning it on, and if the use is significant, we will also announce it in the Privacy Policy.
